How to Prepare for Microneedling

• Avoid sun exposure on the area that’s going to be treated to help make treatment safe and effective.

• Tell your provider about any medications you’re taking or topical medications you’re applying so that they can ensure there won’t be any adverse reactions.

• Avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications at least one week before your treatment as these can heighten the likelihood of bruising.

• Hydrate well on the morning of your treatment.

Microneedling Steps

1. Consultation - Dr. Alkadri will discuss your goals, determine the best treatment options, and give you an idea of what to expect from treatment.

2. Numbing - The face is topically numbed with an anesthetic cream to help you feel comfortable during application.

3. Microneedling - Using a microneedling pen, your provider creates tiny channels in the skin and activates collagen production.

4. Healing - You will experience some redness for 2-3 days following and should be sure to wear sunblock and protect the skin as it heals.

5. Result - You will begin seeing improvements shortly after the procedure, with the full results taking hold within several months and lasting up to 1-2 years.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of total sessions will depend on your skin’s aging and your treatment goals. Talk to your provider at your consultation about what he anticipates being ideal for your skin. Most clients benefit from several treatments spaced at least one month apart.
