How to Prepare for Your Appointment

At your consultation, Dr. Alkadri will provide any precautions or notes for you to follow leading up to your injection. These may include –

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment

• Don’t take painkillers in advance, as these can make you more likely to bruise due to blood thinning effects.

• Tell your provider any medications you’re taking - it may be beneficial to avoid topical anti-aging products.

• Avoid waxing, tweezing, bleaching or using hair removal cream in the treatment area (most notable for the lips/nasolabial folds).

• Arrive at the office with your face washed and makeup-free.

Skinvive Treatment Steps

• Consultation – Your doctor will discuss your goals and give more information about why Skinvive may be the right treatment. You’ll also be able to ask any questions you have about treatment and receive detailed answers before moving forward.

• Injections – Skinvive is simpler than other fillers as it’s injected just below the skin on each cheek. Your provider will inject the appropriate areas small amount of Skinvive with a very thin needle.

• Numbing - Licocaine is included in Skinvive to keep you comfortable during the injection process. This gently numbs the injection areas during treatment to prevent pain.

• Aftercare - There are just a few things to avoid after your procedure. Be careful to minimize rigorous exercise, extended heat or sun exposure, and alcohol for 24 hours.
